The course will include –

 The range of conditions within Autistic Spectrum Disorders

 The thinking and learning styles of pupils with ASD

 Details of the range of interventions available such as structuring the learning environment

 Strategies for supporting the social curriculum and understanding behaviour

Strategies for Supporting Children with Speech Language & Communication Needs

Participants will:-

 Be able to understand speech, language and communication needs

 Use individual strategies and resources when working with children presenting with these needs.

If there is enough interest we may run an additional 'meeting the needs course' in early july as the one advertsied above is nearly full.

Just to let everyone know. CLASS have put on an extra date for our 'Meeting the Needs' course, this will hopefully encourage school staff who may have a child with autism in their class next year.

The course is running at Greenside as usual on July 5th. All welcome
